The Data Processing Specialist manages the preparation and transformation of information so it can be used effectively for reporting, analysis, and operational activities. This role works across different stages of a data workflow, ensuring that raw information is converted into a structured and usable output.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare raw datasets for scheduled processing activities.
• Apply predefined rules to organize and transform incoming information.
• Combine information from approved sources when required for a specific workflow.
• Perform sorting, filtering, grouping, and basic calculations on assigned datasets.
• Apply standardized formats to processed information before final delivery.
• Identify processing results that appear incomplete or inconsistent with expected output.
• Maintain processing logs showing completed batches, pending work, and exceptions.
• Produce structured output files according to departmental specifications.
• Coordinate with relevant team members when processing requirements change.
• Assist in improving repetitive processing procedures when inefficiencies are identified.
• Perform final process checks before releasing completed output to the next department.
Technical Competencies
• Strong understanding of structured data and processing workflows.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and business data-processing applications.
• Ability to work with large tables and multiple information fields.
• Basic knowledge of sorting, filtering, formulas, and data transformation techniques.
• Good problem-solving ability when processing results do not match expectations.
• Ability to learn specialized internal processing systems.
